For thousands of years, spirituality has been
one of the central forces in human history.
In every age, the religious impulse has shaped the decisions and destinies of individuals, families, and societies. That remains true in the twenty-first century. Religion has always been a dynamic force, adapting and evolving to meet contemporary needs. That, too, is true of the present moment.
At the Center for Spiritual Innovation, we study how individuals and communities create and innovate beliefs and practices to fit ever-changing circumstances. We conduct research and advise clients in the areas of religion and spirituality; values, ethics, and meaning; wisdom traditions; and personal growth and development.
The founder and director of the Center is David Charles. Educated in Switzerland, England, and the United States, he holds degrees in anthropology and religion from Oxford and Harvard Universities. He has advised a wide range of for-profit and non-profit organizations, including Patheos, the Museum of the Bible, and the King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Centre for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue (KAICIID).
